What is zero to hero? It is where you can start having never dived before and go through to the first level in your professional diving career. Make your open water course and continue on through to Divemaster. And you do it all in one trip to Thailand. What does that mean for you and scuba diving on Koh Tao? Assuming the covid situation is much better and there is no mandatory quarantine. This new visa gives you an extra 3 months than the current multiple-entry tourist visa, which you can still get of course.
In these difficult times, you might be thinking of taking a break from work to make up for the holidays you have lost. Or finishing your studies then thinking of traveling and diving on Koh Tao should be on your list.
What does Koh Tao diving have to offer you if you are thing about going from zero to hero? It is a small island surrounded by dive sites so we can dive all year long no matter the weather. Dive shops from other islands come to Koh Tao to dive because we have much to offer all levels of divers. The island has been developed around the diving industry here, so there is a lot of choice and experience for you to learn from. And lots of choices for accommodation and eating out for all budgets, from basic rooms to fancy pool villas.
You can start your dive professional career without having done any scuba certification before. Make your open water course first and continue through to Divemaster. After open water, there is the Advanced course, then first aid, and rescue. We also recommend Nitrox and Deep, taking you to 40m. This makes all the dive sites around Koh Tao accessible for you.
What about if you have already completed your open water course or other courses? If it has been more than one year since your open water course you can go even further and complete your instructor course after Divemaster. You will have lots of time to complete all the courses and gain some experience within 9 months. You can go from zero to superhero! Then you can teach others how to dive and make some extra money as well.
