Our dorm accommodation has AC, free wifi and private shower and bathroom, it is a 5-8 minute walk from our dive shop; close enough to walk back to after a day of diving yet far enough so that you escape from the hustle and party of the main beach area in Sairee. The dorm rooms have free lockers to store your valuables; you just need to bring your own locks.
You can choose to upgrade and move into a private room with a double bed or a triple room with one double and one single bed if you wanted privacy.
The building was constructed in 2013 to western standards with hot water showers, western style bathrooms, it is on the road so easy to find and there are plenty of restaurants along the way.
They have a small café on the ground floor for coffee and breakfast and after your course you can hire a scooter from them to explore the island.
Grand Beach Resort
Located on the beach in the middle of Sairee the resort makes for a great central location to visit the bars and restaurants along the beach or towards the main road with a range of accommodation to suit your budget or requirements all with private bathrooms and free wifi.
The superior rooms are finished to a high standard and come with either a double bed or a double and single bed; with air conditioning, private bathrooms with hot water showers, TV and free wifi.
You can have a wooden fan bungalow with double bed, private bathroom and a hammock on the balcony to laze away the afternoon.
Or there are standard fan rooms with a double bed and private bathroom.
They offer a laundry service and can help you with day trips and activities around the island at their reception on the beach. They are working to create a new restaurant and bar directly on the beach, hopefully in the future this will be available for everyone to enjoy.
